Hello, I'm Sydney! Originally from St. George, UTah. I graduated from Brigham Young Universtiy with and undergraduate degree in Psychology and went on to recieve a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah.

During my master's program, I focused on substance use treatment and now specialize in overcoming addictions. Over the past three years, I gained extensive training and expertise in treating eating disorders at the Center for Change, a rehabilitation center specializing in eating disorder treatment.

My aim is to take a collaborative approach to therapy-working with clients to help them feel more capable, self-aware, and empowered to overcome life's challenges. I do this by utilizing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and many other therapeutic modalities.

In my free time you can find me outside-snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and spending time with my family and friends.

Hi, I’m Rachel. I graduated from Brigham Young University’s Master of Social Work program. I also received my undergraduate degree in human
development from BYU while participating as a member of the Cougarette dance team. I loved my time at BYU and feel blessed to have received such an excellent education.

I am extremely passionate about helping individuals gain relief from the struggles they may be facing by empowering them to utilize coping skills they can learn in session. As a therapist, I utilize a very compassionate, client-centered approach that allows my clients to reach their full potential and function well within their circumstances. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where my clients feel safe to process all of their experiences and work through the difficult emotions that may accompany those experiences. The opportunity that I have to walk through my client’s pain with them while instilling hope and confidence, is one that I believe is a true honor and gift.

My therapy approach includes aspects from many modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Emotion-Focused therapy.

In my free time you can find me teaching a dance class, cooking or baking, spending time with
my family, or travelling!

Areas of specific interest include:
Anxiety
Perfectionism
Depression
Self-esteem
Couples Counseling and Relationship Issues
Trauma and PTSD

Hi, I'm Caroline. I love being able to meet with people and learn more about their story. I love working with people who are at a crossroads and trying to decide what to do with their lives. I am also passionate about helping people strengthen their relationships with themselves, and connect with their bodies. I also love helping individuals deepen connections with others.

In treated individuals, I use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy), mindfulness, and somatic psychotherapy. My treatment approach is also largely influenced by IFS (Internal Family Systems). I focus on the client's values and in finding purpose and connection. I believe in client led therapy to discover what the client needs to lead a whole-hearted meaningful life.

I studied at Brigham Young University and University of Utah. I have been practicing since 2004. I learned Spanish while living abroad in Paraguay. My favorite things to do are traveling, hiking with my dogs, yoga, listening to audible, dancing like no one is watching, and spending time with my family and friends.

Areas of specific interest include:
Anxiety
Body Image Concerns

"When I first started seeing Caroline, I was in a very bad place. I was a ball of anxiety, stress, and heartbreak. Caroline partnered with me and empowered me to take my life back. She taught me the strategies I needed to manage my mental health and reclaim my life. I'm grateful every day for having Caroline in my life and while I no longer need to see her as often as I once did we stay in touch and I always know that she is there for me if I need her. 5/5 stars just isn't enough!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. When I first went to Sunbird, I was in a very difficult time in my life in many aspects. From the very first session, it was a life changing experience. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was in a safe space. I was able to truly express my emotions. I felt compassion, empathy, and understood. I felt like someone was truly listening to understand me. I don’t know if I would be where I am today if it was not for their amazing job. I am forever grateful, and I highly recommend sunbird for anyone seeking counseling.
